Intro to Digitizing

Intro to Digitizing is a more in depth five session course that will be delivered over the span of three weeks. Instruction will cover a range of entry level digitizing skills and techniques including understanding software tools, techniques, and best practices for different stitch types. Participants will learn techniques such as how to auto digitize, trace purchased clipart, and hand draw designs with success. Upon completion participants will have the skill set to create simple applique and embroidery designs using a variety of stitches and fills.  Basic information on legalities, best business practices and etiquette when using purchased graphics will also be discussed throughout the course.

Delivery Details: Instruction will be delivered over five sessions via Zoom on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Additional individual work will be given for skill mastery between sessions. A private FB group will also be available for Q&A, show off posts, questions, and any extras we may add! Each session will be recorded and saved in a library for easy lifetime access.

Software Requirements: You will need to have digitizing software for the course. I will be teaching from Embrilliance Stitch Artist. If you decide to use Stitch Artist I would recommend using Level 2 or 3, however this is not required and you are welcome to start with what you have and purchase during the course if needed.

Tuesday- 5:30pm - 6:30pm cst
Thursday- 7:30pm - 8:30pm cst
(if you cannot make every class live, don’t worry it will all be available in the course library.)
